ARTIST BIO

I dabbled with some watercolour paintings in the early 1980's ...but due to family and work commitments I gave it away for a long time. Now I'm back with a vengance, now trying my hand at Acylic and Oils as well as doing more Watercolours ( transparent and opaque).My main intrest is in birds, however in future I'll be trying some still life and landscape work also.

I admire the work of Bill Cooper and Frank Morris , 2 of Australia's premier bird artist. I have a great collection of Frank's work, his ealry egg tempra paintings of water fowl and later his masterful oil paintings. He's become a good friend and mentor, helping and encouraging me with the advancement of my foray into oils.

Self taught ,with a real interest in Australian Birds and landscapes I plan on creating many more works in the future.
